Yes that is correct! Wecome to the Tulsa State Fair. The home over chocolate covered bacon and fried fat balls!

This thing was hilarious!!It shot Gary and Taylor straight up in the air attached to a giant rubber band at 100mph! They both screamed like little girls!

Cute sisters going on the swings!

Fabulous Fall in Tulsa!

This is a fun pumpkin patch right by our apartments! It is pretty low key but fun for sure!!!

Mikenzy took the longest time choosing her pumpkin. Once we got home is brought it into the kitch and said "Now mom make a pie!!

Mikayla and her perfect pumpkin!!!!

We went to the River walk along the Arkansas river. It was hot, but alot of fun. They always have local artists selling their painting and stuff. Mikayla through a temper tantrum when I told her no to a $1200 painting. Man, am I mean or what! It was alot of fun though and just another beautiful thing to do and see here! We wish you were all here so we could share our new experiences with!!!

Our Tulsa zoo trip!

We went to the Tulsa zoo this Monday and had a great time! The zoo here is MUCH bigger than the zoo back in Boise. We saw elephants, giraffe, chimps, snakes (yuck), turtles, and so many other great things!! We also got to ride on the train that circles the zoo. The kids loved it!! Thanks grandma Jo and Ira for the great birthday present!!!

Tulsa Oklahoma by demand!

This is at Oral Roberts University. It's one of my favorite sites I have seen here so far.

Downtown Tulsa. It's beautiful, but completely dead. What I have been told by the locals is they are trying desperately trying to revitalize it.

Tulsa is the bible belt of the country. There are churches everywhere you look. They are all truly beautiful and some of them are hundreds of years old.

This is the Arkansas River! It's beautiful, but I've been told that it is crawling with water mokisins!! Won't be swimming there for awhile!

The River walk in Jenks is beautiful. It has local artists here on Saturdays that sale everything you can imagine..

Random. You will be driving in a random subdivision and out of no where they're these things are drilling for oil.

Another fine shot of the Arkansas!!

Oklahoma 4th of July!

We spent our first holiday in our new town. It was hot and humid, but fun none the less. It's illegal to do any fireworks inside city limits so we drove around for 30 minutes and finally found somewhere safe. While we watched the city fireworks over the Arkansas river we watched our little show as well. During our fireworks our friend Don shot off a bottle rocket that hit a police car driving by! Lucky there was no damage so all he said was to be more careful!! A very eventful 4th of July!!!

Mikenzy's first airplane trip!!

It was so funny to watch her on the plane. From the time we started to taxi to the runway she kept asking if we were taking off yet! Our flight was rerouted due to bad weather in Denver. We ended up sitting on the runway in Wyoming for 2 hours!! The pilots and flight crew loved her and thought she was the cutest thing! They let her "fly the plane" and all. After we finally got on the plane to Tulsa she made a ton of new friends. The best part was when she would ask every person where they were going. When they would tell her Tulsa she would look so bewildered! Every single time!!! It was a LONG trip, but she made it completely enjoyable!!

Mikenzy had so much fun hunting easter eggs at Great Grandma's house! She ate more this year then she actually found. It was super funny to see! All of her eggs were wither pink or purple too. She decided to leave the other ones for everyone else to find!
Happy Easter! Look at the beautiful Jensen kids in the Sunday best!

I have found myself thinking about all the blessings
I have. It's easy, when times are hard and trials are
present to play the oh poor me card. I think it's normal and all part of human nature. But one thing I have noticed this last six months is how much better life is when you remember what you DO have and that no matter how bad the trial things could always be worse.
The most amazing thing in the world to me is the bond that I have with my family. Each day I drag myself out of bed and do what I do for them. When works sucks, money's tight or the family is sick, I have found myself knowing that it could always be worse. . Maybe work sucks, but I have a job which is more than alot of people right now can say. Moneys tight, but all of our bills are paid. When Gary was so sick and struggling I knew it was only temporary. My timeframe for our trials is not always what Heavenly Father has in mind, so from this I have learned to be more patient.
That whole saying that you either see the glass as half full or half empty really applies. Our trials are preassigned to each of us and we can make the choice to always look for the best in situations, or feel sorry for ourselves and place blame. Either way, we go through the trial.
I really do have alot. A wonderful husband who is my best friend. Three amazing and jpyful children. These are eternal! What else is there!?

Time Flies.........

Wow. How our lives hve changed in the past six months. I no longer am working for my buddy Katie. Her kids are now old enough to go to preschool; so this means I have had to drudge back into the real working world. With the economy the way it is I feel grateful to have a job. I amworking at Wells Fargo as a phone banker. They have been amazing to me with a rather large trial my family has been through. I love the people there and havemade alot of good friends. It can be a very difficult job. I have atleast 6 criers a day. People are loosing their homes, cars and spouses. It's really hard to not feel sorry for the majority of these people. Sometimes I feel so helpless and get overly frustrated at my lack of being able to do ANYTHING to help them.

My favorite customers are the yellers. I find they a challenge. I guess it's the whole kill them with kindness philosophy. I have been called about every name you could possibly think of. One thing I've learned is that people are passionate about their money!

Gary is still working for t-mobile. He has been on a medical leave for almost 2 months. I think he is getting really bored. He always said he wanted to be a stay at dad, but I think this has cleared that up for him!

Taylor is huge! He comes up to my chin. He is still as skinny as ever. Lucky kid! He is doing well in school, but was really disappointed when he found out he now only gets 1 recess instead of 3! Oh, the challenges of growing up!

Mikayla is sassier than ever! She is such a loving and tender hearted kid, but boy is she a sassy pants! She is getting so big as well. It makes mekinda sad to realize they are growing up!

Mikenzy is crazy! She is in Kindergarten and loving it! We were lucky enought to get her into the spanish emerssion program. She learns everything in spanish 4 days of her school week and then Friday is english only. I am not looking forward to the day she tells me off and I won't know what she's saying!

2008 was a very long year at our house! We are glad to see it go and looking forward to a bright and happy 2009!
